Our Family is GROWING by 1

Nov, 27th 2011
Erin: Today is the day we got the best news of our lives. 83 days from our wedding we were so excited to see a “pregnant”. After a lot of false tests we finally got the test we have been waiting for. Married life has been fantastic and now it is just getting better. I had a feeling that something was different. I haven’t felt “Sick, sick” yet but I do have a fluttering in my stomach..Almost an uneasy feeling. I am so excited I can’t put it in to words. I now have a loving husband and a baby who I love already <3
Justin:  My first emotion when I saw the pregnancy test was shock.  I knew I would always be excited to find out that I was going to be a dad but there is no way to prepare for that moment.  I did not know how to tell the news to Erin as I was the first one to see the test.  I knew that holding her was the right way to do it, so I did.  I have never been happier, and who knows how much better it can get.

November, 28th
First day back to work since Thanksgiving. SO hard not to tell my friends/family. I have a doctor appointment tomorrow.Thank god because I am not patient and want to make sure I am in fact pregnant and everything is okay, I am also a worry wart. I get my blood drawn at 7:45 am and then go back for another appointment at 4:45. I want to tell my mom so bad but she is on a trip and I want to tell her in person. Today I felt pretty good, drank a TON of water. The only problem is my stomach pain…I have sharp pain in my lower abdomen, but maybe it’s my little baby making a home for itself <3
November, 29th,
First doctor’s appointment, this wasn’t a BABY appointment but still exciting. I went and got my blood taken. I have become overly obsessed with baby information and blogs online. My doctor said not to believe what other people say because everyone’s pregnancy is different. So, needless to say I will be buying a book VERY soon. My blood test results come in tomorrow,,,,so lets hope that HCG is at a nice high level. Overall today I felt really good. I haven’t been able to fall asleep easily at night so I am sluggish during the day. I also really need to cut my caffeine intake  I cannot wait to get a phone call about the results tomorrow.

How we told our parents
.
We told my mom and dad by making two onsies individually wrapped.
One for my mom said “spoiling soon to begin…Aug 2012”
One for my dad said “ I love Stewie and Stewart”
They were ecstatic tears were shed and excitement filled the air. They are both beyond excited. My dad has even declared himself “Prego Police”, making sure that I and the baby are as safe as we can be. I know my parents are going to be amazing grandparents and I cannot wait to share my pregnancy experience with them.

We told Justin’s parents the same way. We made a Onsie that said “My heart is in Ohio”. They unwrapped it and looked at it for a minute, Justin’s dad got it right away and began to tear up and smile ear to ear, and Justin’s mom you could tell that something clicked she said “are you trying to tell us something” and then hugged us both J
On Christmas Eve we were in Ohio and at the family gathering. We made another onsie for his Grandpa to open. It was a Bengals shirt and said Kautz on the back. His Grandpa didn’t exactly get it at first but then his aunt said, “does this mean baby?” After that moment we gave out about 40 hugs.
These moments will forever be treasured. Justin and I are so excited to share this process with everyone J
We decided to tell Justins friends in person since we did not know the next time we would be in Ohio, all of them were very excited for us. It was so great to see everyone's reactions in person.

Christmas was a great experience, it was our first Christmas as a married couple but what made it so much better knowing that next year we get to share this special time of the year with our little baby. Today I am 2 months and feeling pretty good. Besides getting a bad cold and not being able to take anything I am feeling awesome. I have yet to get morning sickness (fingers crossed that doesn’t happen) and we are beyond anxious for our first doctor’s appointment on the 5th of January (7 days away)
