Nursery is coming along :)

I cannot believe it. Everything is basically set (minus a few things) for little miss Ava to make her arrival. It has come a long way from a plain white room. We decided to steer in a direction neither of us have seen before. We decided to go with Light Pink and Grey, we didn't want anything that was TOO girly but something we could make our own. Slowly but surely it is coming along wonderfully. Justin and my dad did a FANTASTIC job painting it and putting all the wonderful furniture that Justins family got for us put together. All clothes are hung up and in there spot ready to be modeled by Ava. I still have a few things to put away and some pictures to hang, but still have 5-6 weeks for that. Justin and I both LOVE how it has turned out. I had such a happy moment the other week when I saw Justin in Avas room looking in the crib with a big smile on his face. He looked like a very excited dad waiting for the arrival of his baby girl. I also find myself going in that room and it instantly puts a smile on my face. In the next few weeks I hope to have it completely finished.

Berfor: Plain white walls...BORING!!

34 weeks

How far along? 34 Weeks
Total weight gain: 20.5 (Only .5 pound this week. Mommy and baby should be gaining almost about 1 pound a week from now on...YIKES)
Maternity clothes? maternity & comfy clothes... so ready for spring dresses! I cannot wait to dress up again in NORMAL clothes.. I'm getting sick of dressing like a slob....If only maternity clothes weren't so expensive..I just cannot bring myself to buy cute clothes right now because in less than 6 weeks I wont fit in them :)
Stretch marks? none - and onto tube number 2 of stretch mark cream.
Sleep: sleeping pretty good through the night..minus bathroom interuptions but I am very use to that now. Now I just get exhausted during the day.
Best moment this week: Justin comes home Sunday :) Ava misses her daddy. She misses him talking to her at night before bed and right when he wakes up.

Miss Anything? Being comfortable. Running, Bending over, Shaving my legs without it feeling like a workout.
Movement: ALL THE TIME. She is so big now that they aren't just small cute flutters, they are out of control punches/kicks that sometimes even take my breath away or make me say "ouch". I will admit its a bit freaky when she is rolling around in my belly and I can feel all the parts of her body tossing and turning. She is a wiggle worm, just like her Daddy :)

Food cravings: Nothing...nothing at all..this week I havent really had an appetite :(
Anything making you queasy or sick: still meat..I try to eat it without getting too grossed out..but its hard.

Labor Signs: No..Just mild contractions every now and then.

Symptoms: the heartburn is still my only complaint.
Belly Button in or out? I am shocked to say that at 34 weeks it is still technically in....its pretty much flat but not "out"
Wedding rings on or off? on

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to:  Hearing about Justin's trip to Ohio, spending some last minute quality time just the two of us, then baby's arrival! Seems so surreal at this point, I can not wait to see her precious face & hold her for the first time. I also cannot wait for Justin's family to fly in to meet baby Ava and for all my Aunts from Vermont to come stay with us.

This week has really been that "Eye Opening" week. I have just started to realize how my body has changed and I really cannot do everyday things that I once was able to do. I either get sore, tired or extremely worn out. It is so weird, and so amazing how your body can change within the matter of weeks...and for me it seems to have happened over night.
I have been VERY lucky and have had an AMAZING pregnancy, very normal and easy with no real complications. I am just in pure disbelief that in 40 days Justin and I will have a child. I am beyond excited and am just thrilled with everything so far.
The nursery is coming along and so is the house. I think we are officially ready. There are just a few things to pick up at the store, a few things to organize and pack our bags. Other than that we are more then ready to welcome Ava Paige to this world.
More than anything, I can’t believe how fast the time has flown by. Now that we’re almost in the month of July, I can officially say that next month – I’ll have a baby

33 Weeks...46 more days

How far along? 33 Weeks
Total weight gain: Just had my my weigh in a doctor....drum roll....I have gained a total of 20 pounds. Doctor was VERY impressed with this, so I guess that is good:)
Maternity clothes? maternity & comfy clothes! More comfy clothes now that work is out.
Stretch marks? no
Sleep: I sleep Okay. A lot of trips to the bathroom get real annoying and break up my deep sleep patterns but I am getting very good at walking to the bathroom with eyes shut and not running into anything. . I wake up every morning by 7am  but have been falling back asleep after breakfast on the couch:)
Best moment this week:
listening to the baby's heartbeat at our doctor's appointment and my wonderful baby shower put on by my amazing mom and good friend Heidi.
Miss Anything? Being able to move around with out my belly getting in the way. Justin has been an absolute blessing..he helps me a ton.
Movement: still love feeling all of her hiccups & random wiggles
Food cravings: Nothing really this week.
Anything making you queasy or sick: still no desire to eat meat

Labor Signs: No ..but WOW....so crazy to think this could be any day now?! I wonder if I'll be one of those people who's water breaks while I'm lurking around Target. I have had about 3-6 contractions a day..everything is normal because they aren't close together or rhythmic...but YIKES they are painful.
Symptoms: heartburn & lack of mobility - otherwise honestly feeling great and love pregnancy.
Belly Button in or out? It is right on the verge of being an outie.
Wedding rings on or off? on

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: baby's arrival!! It's all I can think about.. baby brain is no joke. And neither is nesting.. I literally have never cleaned & organized so much in my entire life. I still have quiet a bit to do. It is so exciting, its unreal.

Here are a few pictures from my amazing baby shower. I am going to make an entire post just about the shower.

32 weeks

How far along? 32 Weeks

Total weight gain: 17 lbs
Maternity clothes? yes. Starting to feel rather snug in my clothes
Stretch marks? none yet
Sleep: sleep is okay...body pillow is very good.
Best moment this week:
Last day of school. Such a crazy feeling to be done with work until Ava is in our life's. I cannot wait to bring her to my students and show her off.
Miss Anything? breathing normally, playing sports and being able to curl up in a ball on the couch. oh the things we take for granted!
Movement: still lots of movement & baby hiccups.. I know I will miss this feeling so much. Justin and I love to lay in bed and just awe over her.
Food cravings: Nothing this week...well actually honey nut cheerios have been pretty satisfying..I think eating it for 2 out of 3 meals is a little excessive
Anything making you queasy or sick: not really..but meat doesn't sound at all enticing.
Gender: Girl

Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Heartburn, mild swelling. Have woke up a few times to INTENSE tummy pains, but they pass ( will be talking to doctor about that). Muscles are VERY sore..walking is not so fun right now
Belly Button in or out? Still right on the verge of an outie.
Wedding rings on or off? on

Happy or Moody most of the time: HAPPY!
Looking forward to: Baby shower this weekend. I love my friends and family that are helping put it all together.

We have our last birthing class this week...HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?...When we signed up for a 6 week course I never imagined it actually coming to an end. We are touring the hospital so I am pretty excited. It will all feel a lot more real after tonight.

Justin was amazing and tested out our carseat in Delilah (my car)....YIKES!...it is crammed..I am also 6 foot so that probably has something to do with it....but DANG...who knew such a tiny baby would need such a large contraption!

This week my wonderful first graders threw me a surprise baby shower..there was bottle chugging contests, baby bingo, candy, cake and of course presents. This was by far one of the best times I have had with them. They all gave Ava such nice things. I cannot believe my first year of teaching is done already..its definitely bitter sweet.

31 weeks

How far along? 31 Weeks
Baby is the size of a: Pineapple (that's almost 4.5lbs!)
Total weight gain: 17-19 lbs..depends on the day
Maternity clothes? Yup, still getting by with just maternity pants..only 8 more days of work so I think I will be just fine.
Stretch marks? Let me knock on wood first… (Knock Knock) still none!
Sleep: When the heartburn subsides and I FINALLY find a comfy position...let me rephrase that..once AVA finds a comfy position..she is picky, I sleep really well.
Best moment this week: Cooper came to visit. I had a wonderful time with family and Justin and I had a whole day to ourselves, even went fishing:)
Miss Anything: Laying on my tummy. I never realized how much I lay on my stomach
Food cravings: Besides eating Dairy Queen when I get any opportunity, I LOVE crystal light and fresh raspberries..oh and of course gummies!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Still just horrible horrible heart burn. To the point of making me sick pretty regularly. It's the worst in the middle of the night. There really is no trigger and no cure that I have found.
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Pain..I feel my tummy stretching to its fullest capacity..which worries me about the next 9 weeks, and stretch marks.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy ! My husband I had a great week together. Nursery is coming together very very nice. I cant wait  to order all the nick knacks and get everything on the walls !

Looking forward to: Doctors appointment next week. Birthing class, we get to tour the hospital!!! I am VERY excited for my shower. I love any opportunity to be surrounded by family and friends so I know my shower will be a VERY nice treat.
