52 weeks. Seattle and Final birthday preparation.

What a week!!!! Time LITERALLY got away from us! SO much that we almost missed our flight. The fact that we didn't blows my mind.  Monday night the apartment was cleaned, laundry started and we were all sitting on couch enjoying some family time. I asked Justin, "want to pack tonight, or just do it all tomorrow?" We agreed lets pack Tuesday for our flight Wednesday night. PERFECT plan in place. We both were at work, I decided to work late Tuesday to get extra hours in before going to Seattle for a week. I was sitting at my desk when I look down and get a call from Justin. I usually NEVER answer my phone at work, but Justin NEVER calls me. NEVER. I answered it and these were his exact words..."I need you to not freak out, its going to be ok." First of all, hearing those words before a Hello is reason enough to FREAK out. He then says you need to LEAVE WORK NOW, OUR FLIGHT IS IN 2 HOURS!!!!" SAY WHAT... I flipped..I hung up, told my boss, ran to Ava's classroom, grabbed her, diapers, and a bottle and RAN out the door. I work 45 minutes away from our apartment. I called Justin who already was almost home. Told him to literally throw EVERYTHING in a bag. I didn't care what I had, as long as Ava's birthday stuff was there. Ava and I made it home, we got everything in the car, RUSHED to the airport, flew through security, and made it to the gate with time to spare...20 minutes to be exact! WOW! It was not funny at the time, but hilarious now. I cant even imagine what would have happened if we missed that flight.

As I sit on the flight I think of everything I had prepared for Ava's birthday, there are so many cute little things I wanted to finalize but unfortunately couldn't get to. I wanted to use the weekly pictures to make a banner at her party, I had all the pictures organized on a disc ready to print on a CD when we got to Seattle, but in our frantic panic I forgot it in the computer. BUMMER!

Justin and I are also looking into a way of making a book out of my blog for Ava. It is AMAZING to look back through this blog and to see how much she has grown, how far we have come, and the exciting things that have, and will happen in our life's.

Now that we are in Seattle, we are in full party planning mode. It is so fun, to be surrounded by family and friends! Ava is going to be one in a few days....how I haven't broken down in tears is beyond me. I thought I would be sad and depressed that my little baby is 1, but I am actually EXCITED, so beyond EXCITED for the little girl she is becoming. She is full of life, full of personality, and full of love.

Birthday party here we come! The pink lemonade party is upon us and it is time to get BUSY!
