Happy Fathers Day

We celebrated our favorite daddy Justin

We started Saturday with a trip to the zoo for Donuts with dad. Followed by a family shopping trip to Daddy's favorite store, bass pro shop. Ava bought him new sunglasses to replace the ones she snapped in half.

That night Ava had a babysitter and Justin came to cheer me on for my 5k. Having him at the finish line was awesome. We went to the rooftop after party, then enjoyed some quiet time eating some ice cream at our favorite local store Cordelia's.
Sunday we started our Father's Day off with Handmade choc chip pancakes on the patio while Ava slept in. Even justin got to sleep until 830. We then went to the park to fish, and then to the splash park at children's museum.

Nana and GRUMPA visit Memphis

What an AMAZING time! Nana and Grumpa flew in for 4 days~ It was one of the best 4 days we have had while in Memphis. It was great weather and we enjoyed spending lots of time together

We had a sleepover party at the hotel, Frozen movie party, Ice cream nights, BBQ pig out, Zoo trip, Splash park and museum, shopping, Girls nail night, date night, family game nights, and a lot of laughing.

It was an awesome trip. My parents never cease to amaze me with how much they love Ava. Of course they spoil her and she loves that, but just the love and cuddles they give her melts my heart. My parents have been so supportive and helpful to Justin and I, I will never be able to re pay them for all that they have done. One day I hope to be just as amazing as they are.

This was also a MEMORABLE trip because it was the Day after we found out that Ava would be a Big Sister and they were the first ones to find out the wonderful and exciting news

Byrdstown Tennessee

We made the trip again to wonderful Byrdstown. This is like our home away from home. Ava has also been on a great road trip streak. She is a great little road tripper....as long as there is snacks, DVDs, and dancing involved she is good to go

Here is our weekend in pictures: It was an awesome trip because it was a long weekend, sun was shining, and Ava got to spend time with Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Nate, China, and Great Grandpa

Highlights:
  Inner tubing
  Sun Bathing
  Swimming in the lake
  Picking Cherries
Staining the floors for the new barn
  Seeing the addition coming together
Watching Ava play with the puppies

Another great weekend spent on the lake!
Its so amazing to see how much Ava learns and grows each time we go to the lake house. So many memories will be made here

22 Months

"How old is she?"  <--- Most common question we hear......Our answer:

"Ummm(counting in head), 20..21..almost 22 months...Almost two"

So for now on she is OFFICIALLY almost TWO...Ahh I have a 2 year old!

This month has been EPIC

Ava now RUNS..she swings her arms and all :)
She got a new life jacket and will test it out during our 4th of July trip!
This month we get to go to Seattle to visit! We are VERY excited for that trip!

Ava got her first official knee scrapes..which is actually pretty amazing considering she's been walking since she was about 10 months!!!

We have enjoyed many trips to the museum, parks, splash parks, and the zoo. Ava lights up when we arrive any of these places (even target)

Ava is so grown..she has quite the little attitude and spunk. You should see the looks she gives- It makes my heart melt

We have also "started" time outs- Only really twice. It really helps calm her down. All we do is ask her multiple times to calm down, try to distract/redirect her from what is making her so upset....when that doesn't work I set her in another room or a hallway and say you are in time out until you calm down, "when you are done, come hug mommy"- She basically follows me out of the room, gives me a hug, and then she's usually distracted from whatever caused the outburst.
