Dear Friends, Family and Followers,
We have some exciting news to share! We are moving to Seattle, Wa! This has been a whirlwind of a last few weeks/even months as we have been going through a lot lately as a family of four. Nolan has brought such joy to our lives and Ava is growing and maturing every day. Justin has been going through some big changes and doing great things with his work, and I have been in transition with my job and been very accepting of this new full-time mommy role I have started.
With all of this going on there has been missing pieces as well. As much as we have been surprised by how great this Memphis experience has been, we have been unable to feel truly established and fully comfortable with where we are in our lives. I have been offered a job in Seattle that is too good to pass up and really challenged us to decide if this was the time to move. Justin's job, which has given us so much, is in a bit of a limbo as he is able to do such great things and can take full advantage of that in his next endeavors. This isn't something that we just decided on..its been a work in progress since before we chose Memphis. We knew Memphis wasn't our forever home.
We really questioned how we were going to support our children in the current state of the Memphis school system. The entire city is going through some transition with their structuring that was really making a big hassle for a mass majority of its residents as people move to the safer school areas, which could change at any time. This played a role in making this decision as well. Can you believe Ava starts Pre-school this next school year, unbelievable!
As much as Memphis has done for us we know that it was not going to be our forever home but a transition that lead to the next step. We are always looking for growth and for opportunity wherever it may come. We were always looking for that 'reason' to move, but its really many things that led us to the move.
We know that we have family and friend support anywhere and everywhere that shows us so much love. We look forward to making new memories in our new home while also getting back to visiting our friends and family elsewhere. This new transition will create a lot of challenges too, but we have become Memphis strong and our relationship has grown along with our family and we know how to work, grind and sacrifice for our family. We will miss this city, and the friends we have made but welcome this next adventure.
Erin, Ava, and Nolan are moving May 6 with the wonderful help of Heidi. Erin starts her new job May 11. Justin is finishing out the school year and moving by June 15. It will be a long 4 weeks apart, but we've done it before and with the wonderful side of technology it'll be like we are together :)
Thanks for all the LOVE!
