Nolan is 2 1/2 and has been in speech therapy.
Joining speech therapy wasn't a hard choice, it was actually rather easy. Why not get support if its available? We are lucky to live in an area that had free services provided in home. Nolan had about 12 in home sessions where he would work with a therapist and the family in simple dialogue. It was education for Nolan but more importantly education for us and how we should be communicating with Nolan.
Nolan picked up confidence quickly and really started to "talk". Most words were only understood by close family but Nolan was really starting to gain the confidence to speak. Sentences were 1-3 words but he really started chatting.
