Maybe this played a role in her waking up a lot last week??
........Maybe not......by the middle of the week Ava was feeling great and still waking up...ALOT!!
This last weekend was scary! Her poor nose was runny. Her saliva was thick, causing her to choke a few TIMES, Very scary. She was/is a trooper though. She slept as much as she could, had to be elevated. I think this was harder on mommy and grandpa then it was on Ava. She was a little extra cuddly though, so that was nice.
We tried a lot of new things this week!
Fresh Fruit(Apples) In our mesh feeder.
Mum-Mums Banana rice husks
She was hesitant on both but now LOVES the Mum-Mums and Does okay with the mesh feeder.
What I have done for a sick baby :)
* CUDDLES
*Lots of rest
* disinfecting everything
*Bought a humidifier
*Stayed home and relaxed
* I ran a HOT HOT shower and steamed up bathroom, then set up her bath tub and we played in the tub for awhile
Also this week has been a hard week on me. I have decided to start slowing down with breastfeeding. I know that breastmilk supplies the best form of nutrients to the baby but I honestly am worn out. I know that sounds completely selfish of me. I just do not know how to put it. I am VERY busy at work ( I use to pump 3-4 times there, now I am lucky if I can pump at all), life outside of work is also INSANE. I bet if Justin were here and I had his support things may be easier. I just hate to come home, pump, see Ava for an hour, Pump, Work out(if I am lucky), Pump, See Ava, put her to bed, and pump again. It is a process.This isn't something that is just going to stop cold turkey, and I am still trying to give her Half formula and half breastmilk bottles a day. I have been slowing down to about 4 pumping sessions a day. It use to be 10. My supply has dropped dramatically. It is very sad. But, I am very proud of myself for making it this long. At the 2 week mark I was about to quit, here I am 28 weeks later....sad that yes, I am slowing down but I havent completely quit yet. THE BEST THING IS, Ava is a happy and healthy 30 week old baby regardless :)
Ava learned a new trick! She mimics things I do and one that she loves to do is shake her head. I say "bobble, bobble" and then she does\ it...with a HUGE smile! One of the cutest things EVER!
